How do you match a mentor with their mentee?

We would approach the pairing process as admin-led pairing where the mentoring program administrator makes the match which will be a random match to begin. However, we will explore needs based match in future - based on the skills of the mentor and the needs of the mentee.

Few things to keep in mind:

• Be clear about our matching process so that participants understand it
• Outline a simple process that allows participants to end the mentorship if its not going well.
• Give mentees and mentors opportunity to confirm partnership or raise concerns after initial introductions via direct slack to @Angela Maragna or @Uma
• Some form of check-ins and feedback
• Do we publish partnerships/ matching openly?
